こんにちはマシュンです。クップデジャポン八幡浜大会に愛媛県八幡浜市へと参戦して参りました。毎年国際大会として開催され、過去にはオリンピック選考会としても実績がある大会でしたが、今年はUCIクラス１として開催。国際連盟のUCIポイントが多くつく大会で、ジュニアクラスにはジュニアシリーズとしてのアジア開幕戦にもなっています。

男子ジュニアには、松本一成選手が出走となりました。開幕戦の怪我により休養を余儀なくされて約１ヶ月。今回は復帰戦となるレースになります。前の週には富士見DCでライバルも出てくれたこともあり、調子は復帰にしてはまずまず走れることを確認できておりました。しかしながら、韓国、台湾、タイの選手も出場することもあり、全く様子は掴めない模様。試走からポイントを覚えながらコース全体像とタイヤ選択を煮詰めていきました。
Issei Matsumoto was on the run for the boys' juniors. It has been about one month being forced to rest due to injury in the opening game. It will be a race that will be a return race this time. There was also a rival at Fujimi DC last week, and I was able to confirm that I could run for the first time. 当初発表されたスケジュールにより、エリートのあと２分後スタートと言うチャレンジが実現出来なかったことは残念ではありますが、女子選手の前にスタートと言うことになり最速タイムを狙います！まずは一番初めのダートまでの舗装区間でライバルの脚がどれだけあるのかを伺う作戦で始まりました。何時にも増してダッシュで駆け上がり一気に引き離すと唯一ついて来た韓国のチュン選手（昨年度のアジア選手権で２位の選手）と対決が始まります。予想通りの天気と伴い、フィードでは掛水、ボトルをダブルフィードでうまく取り摂取することが今回の課題。アメリカでの初回レースで失敗したことも生かされて、上手くリズムを取れていました。

男子エリートからは、僕。松本駿が出走でした。予想通りの猛暑となり、スタート前までアイスジャケットで身体を冷やしてスタンバイしていました。
昨年度の全日本UCIポイントがあることで、２列目からのスタート。舗装路区間の位置取りを攻めていきます。

７周回で最も過酷となったカテゴリーレースですので、初めの位置取りも重要視されます。時には強引にでも出る時もあり、相手にスキを与えない走りをすることも重要です。フィードでは絶対的な掛水と最小限のボトルの入れ替えを心がけて走ります。

２周目からは既に３名ほどのパックとなり、中盤には17位でそのままゴールとなりました。今回はリニューアルされた激登り区間が短いながらもキツく、パンチのあるコースレイアウトでしたが、対策をしたトレーニングが足りなかった点であったと思います。後半は何とか登れましたが、今年のニューXTRギアの51Tをフルに使い助けられたレースとなりました。

I managed to climb in the second half, but this year's new XTR gear 51T was fully used and saved.
チームとしては、次戦は石川県一里野大会の参戦となり、松本一成選手のみ6月9日に韓国交流として韓国に遠征します。応援ありがとうございました。
